NES
NES is the Nintendo Emulator for iPhone.
NES emulates the hardware in a Nintendo entertainment system, allowing you to play games on your iPhone.
In order to use NES, you will need ROM images of games written for the Nintendo Entertainment System platform. ROM images are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge, or compiled code from a public domain game.
When I play this game, I can really remember how I played this before on the real NES. Sounds are great (even better actually), graphics are really cool & we can even make use of the accelerator on the iPhone (total coolness!).
Here are some of my favorite games that I have in my NES application:

And here is my favorite NES game of all time!

You can get NES Emulator by Jonathan Zdziarski for free at Cydia.
You can get NES ROMs here. Take note this has 857 ROMs, eat your heart out ![]()
To put the NES ROMs on your iPhone, you need to do the ff.:
- OpenSSH into your iPhone (tutorial here)
- Go to var/root/media
- Make folder called “ROMs”
- Inside that new folder ROMs, create another folder called “NES”
- Drop your downloaded ROMs into the NES folder
So in short, your NES ROMs are in this location: var/root/media/ROMs/NES
With this on your iPhone, who needs a PSP? ![]()
