“I’m not sure my hubby will be happy with this,” Attorney Melissa started. “Well, he is second. As I am mother, wife, lawyer, entrepreneur, and finance enthusiast – in that order.” Melissa is a corporate lawyer, working for a major Philippine conglomerate and that means, every hour of every work day, she reads contracts. Which, “Oddly enough,” Melissa confessed, “I like”.
This modern woman uses her iPhone is so many ways.
“I have to tell you about the recorder function,” Melissa enthusiastically began. “I just realized its usefulness very recently. I would whisper my thoughts to it every night which I would transcribe during the day and weave into articles for my website. I often find myself in the car seizing a thought and to hold on to that thought, I would turn on the iPhone and talk to it, my eyes turning blank as if I were in a trance. And when I listen to my voice (when I find the time to listen to myself), I would be astounded at the thought I captured. How many other thoughts have I let go in the past? Now, it will no longer be a question, or a problem.”
Melissa thinks the iPhone is very functional. She uses the calendar function a lot, as well as notes where she jots down her to-do’s. She also downloaded dictionary.com to help her find words at the tip of her tongue.
Melissa has Sudoku for those moments she has to pass the time (or go crazy). Other games she has onboard: Diner Dash, Monopoly (which her daughter loves) and Stanza.
Of course, it isn’t all bliss with iPhone, Melissa admitted. “There’s this thing about the letters when you are texting,” she narrated. “My fingers fumble and slide and ‘S’ becomes ‘A’, and well, it could be very inconvenient to do while driving. I hope they can devise a more forefinger-friendly keyboard.”
That said, Melissa says, “I love my iPhone. It is beautiful and when you see beauty, you are inspired everyday.”
