Star Wars The Force Unleashed – Lite

This game is set in the Star Wars universe, between Episode 3 and Episode 4. You play Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice. You start out the game hunting Jedi.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed (lite) (iTunes link) is a demo version. You can find the full game, here for US$5.99.

To be honest, I wasn’t impressed by the graphics. The Force Unleashed had better graphics on the PSP when I played it. It was too… boxy. Maybe the full version of the game would offer a better look.

So anyway, the game pretty much uses iPhone OS’s multitouch capabilities.  Like for instance to lift items on the game you need to follow this:

There were other powers like Jedi Mindtricks that all use multitouch.

I was kind of bored with the game.  I mean, the force powers are great don’t get me wrong. but i couldn’t get my character to rush enemies head on.  I know, i know, expecting too much from a handheld game.  This isn’t the PS3 mobile, just iPod.  Still for the most part of the demo that  I tried out.  It was all multitouch.

At the end of the demo you are faced with a Jedi Master.  Don’t expect to be slugging it out lightsaber to lightsaber with the guy. expect loads of repeated finger swinging to defeat the guy.  Boring, I know!

I rate this 3 out 5.  And to think I happen to be a huge Star Wars fan.
