Another type of Math problem solving game for the iPhone

It makes math interesting by making it fun!!!

MathTables is a fun way to learn basic arithmetic. The problems are presented in table w/ circular cells. In each of the cells are problems that has this operation types:

• Addition
• Substraction
• Multiplication
• Division
• Combination of any

Just like DiaMath, you can also configure the game to make it easier or more difficult.

• ability to choose operation type to include in the game (this is basically important as you can gauge the capability of the person solving the problems)
• ability to choose the range of numbers (1 to 99).
• option to include negative numbers
• ability to choose the # of problems in a game to 12, 20 or 30.

Please note that when you play the game, remember that the number is on the bottom left then you only have to match it against the right cell on the table.

I thought of one variation that can help make this interesting.. maybe the developer can add this to the next release. We can match the cells, for example, there are always 2 cells that have the same answer and they can just choose those 2 cells. I would love to have that option and it can also make the game more difficult.

FlowMath is a good way to test your math skills.

It doesn’t have the usual question of 1+1 but rather you have to build a math problem that matches the answer that they will show.

This game provides the answer and needs us to provide the equation on how to get that answer. We just choose the number & operator type and see how well we performed. Did we get it right? Did we did it fast enough to make it during the time alloted?

It is definitely a different twist and i think this is a more effective way to test someone.

FlowMath is configurable as well just like their other games (MathTables, DiaMath, FlashGram)

• We can choose to include one or more of the ff. operation types:

• Addition
• Substraction
• Multiplication
• Division

• We can also choose the range of numbers to be included in the game. Minimum of 1 and maximum of 99. If you’re a novice, you can just choose 1 & 10 as your minimum & maximum numbers respectively. If you want to challenge yourself and go to the next level then choose higher numbers

• We can also choose to include negative numbers. This will make the game more difficult.

• play a game of 10, 20 or 30 questions. Take your pick.

If your kids or you already mastered the usual math questions, then let them play this game.

This application is made for the children! It can also be used by people who’s struggling with their grammar, for example people who doesn’t know how to speak english… and for us, as well! FlashGram is a fun way to quiz your kids or ourselves on language arts skills.

This has over 100 grammar questions covering the ff. (definitions from dictionary.com)

• nouns – are often thought of as referring to persons, places, things, states, or qualities.
• verbs – expresses existence, action, or occurrence.
• pronouns – substitutes for nouns or noun phrases and designates persons or things asked for, previously specified, or understood from the context.
• adjectives – modifies a noun or other substantive by limiting, qualifying, or specifying and distinguished in English morphologically by one of several suffixes, such as -able, -ous, -er, and -est, or syntactically by position directly preceding a noun or nominal phrase.

This game is also customizable in ways like:

• ability to choose the kind of grammar questions to include in the game (either just nouns & pronouns, verbs only, or any combination of the 4 or all).
• ability to choose the # of questions in a game to 10, 25, 50 or 100.
• amount of time

Math used to be my favorite subject in College. I guess it’s because I graduated from the high school that offered the best math education ever! Would you believe we already studied Calculus during high school back then (early 90s)? hehehee

If you’re like me who likes math and loves solving math problems then you would like DiaMath.

DiaMath is short for “Diamond Math”, a challenging way to improve your math solving skills. Your objective is to fill in the 2 empty spaces in the diamond.

There are 4 spaces in the diamond:

• Left – Any number as long as it satisfies the rule of the diamond.
• Right – same as left, as long as it satisfies the rule of the diamond.
• Top – multiply the left & right numbers to get this number.
• Bottom – Add the left & right numbers to get this number.

You think that it’s just a matter of multiplication & addition? Think again.
I would suggest you not to use a calculator when playing this game. hehehe

You can configure the game to make it easier or more difficult.

• ability to choose the # of problems in a game to 10, 20 or 30.
• 3 difficulty levels: easy, medium & hard.
• ability to choose the range of numbers (1 to 99).

Aside from being able to see your score, you can also see how much time you spent to solve the problems. Thus, you can see your progress.. are you improving?
